Guaranteed higher search engine rankings (part 2 of 7)

This one is a doozy! how many times have you seen ads where people promise they can get better search engine rankings then your competitors. Getting higher search engine rankings is much harder than it sounds.

These people are false advertisers and use 1 cunning little trick to suck people in.

If you see this sort of ad, and feel tempted to pay someone STOP IN YOUR TRACKS! Higher search engine rankings via SEO is getting extremely competitive now, almost impossible.

This isn’t going increase your rankings and traffic exponentially. I know, I know, there are talented SEO experts out there that can get you a good higher search engine rankings. Heck one I have seen recently got a #1 position for one companies, very quick, but I ill tell you why this is bound to fail and is a complete waist of money.

Their trick is to tell you that you’ll get number #1 position or (higher search engine rankings), and you might get it quickly, but what they don’t tell you is that it’s for a term that no one is searching for online anyway.

So you just paid top dollar to get #1 position in Google for a phrase is not popular.

So since no one is searching for that particular phrase, no one will see your listing anyway. Still with me? let me explain to make things clearer :-

Lets say you are into wood turning, and you set up a page with some great content on how to sharpen your wood turning tools. A good topic right? Of course. After you site is indexed you go and do a search for the term “sharpen wood turning tools” guess what happens…You site turns up and #1 in Google, congrats you just got a or very higher search engine rankings. WOOHOOO!

Well, before you get excited and wait for a huge blast of traffic….guess what? There are only 2 searches a month for that term, which is dismal and because no one is searching for this you wont get any traffic. So having that number #1 spot is not important if there is no one after the information you are giving.

You will find now days it’s hard to get higher search engine rankings, because there is fierce competition for very popular keywords. Actually nowadays it near impossible to rank higher for a popular keyword.

That’s just one part of the problem too. What others don’t realize is that even if you get a top #5 position in Google for a popular keyword, it could be gone a week later. WHY? Google and other search engines are constantly changing their algorithms, which makes it even harder to keep your rank if you happen to have a good one.

Make sure you stay away from all ads and companies that guarantee a good higher search engine rankings . There is no guarantee that you will achieve a good ranking, even if it is for a popular keyword. Last but not least, no one can guarantee that you will stay ranked well for any particular keyword. Getting higher search engine rankings is important but it is not worth paying someone to do this when they cant follow up on their impossible promises.
