“I’m like A Heroin Addict” - The Interview!

I have an interview with a good friend of mine Ernie Lonardo tomorrow! He reckons he’s like a heroin addict when it comes to listening to my advice, I laughed when he said this, and I asked why? He replied “Everytime you give me good advice and tips, I just want more and more, you know I crave just like a junky!” Quite amusing, and flattering I must say.

Ernie is a generous fellow but I told him to brace himself because I will be releasing some of the latest traffic generations strategies that will blow you away. Remember without traffic to your site, you are waisting your time, your site is just like another piece of matter out in cyberspace no one takes any notice of. (Boy there are plenty of those!)

When the interview is ready I will make sure I post the link, it will be full of some of my dirtiest secrets about getting traffic (you know the ones I shouldn’t have given away!) I don’t care though, I don’t want you to miss out. My many mentors have taught me something that I hold dear to me this day. Selling On Ebay - To increase your website traffic. (Part 2)

Remember in the last post my friend Jason gave me some of his little secrets about how his clients put an extra $3,000 in his pocket.. well below I have given some of his advanced secrets and tips on how to build a list and to grow your profits each month exponentially.

Normally once a seller makes a sale on ebay they just email the buyer, send the item and be done with it. But a smart ebay seller will know they can keep that email (which can be leveraged) and send a message to notify the buyer or a similar auction a week or so later . This strategy is genius and if you are not using this you are leaving a lot of money on the table.

There are lots of good ways and techniques to build a list quickly but this is one way to build a client list of buyer through ebay very quick indeed.

First of all I use to wonder why there was all these ebook auction listings for like $0.01, I mean comon 1c how silly the aution fees are more than that. Surely this would lose an ebay seller money?

No……Well not really….let me explain…

There is a good chance that they are losing on the front end sale, but their main goal is to get a client and email address to use later from this auction. This would include a backend sale or trying to encourage you to join a newsletter. Keeping in mind they might possibly buy at a later day. Otherwise they would be losing money for every sale, due to Ebay’s fees being higher than the sales price and it would be a silly thing to do.

This seller realises that to generate sales, and I mean lots of sales you need as many subscribers on your list as you can. One persons email could be worth $1.00, $2.00 or possibly $100 down the track. So should you worry about selling stuff for that 1c price if you know they could be a possible buyer. Of course not!

What you need to do first is go to ebay and purchase an ebook from there (obviously that allows you to resell it) and resell in on ebay. Simple huh?

Look, you won’t get rich just from hocking these 1c ebook auctions, but your building a list rembmer! Later when you have them as your client and they realise you sell some really good tools you can persuade them to subscribe to your newsletter or ezine or bid on other auctions.

I have calculated each person that you add as a valued subscriber in your list is worth $1 per month, possibly more! So if you had 1000 subscribers, you could expect, on average, to earn $1000 per month. This will vary from month to month obviously and what you are offering, but doing this is highly lurative and the soon you do this the better.

The secrets here is to offer your main site with several high quality bonuses for free. Once someone opts into that to receive you newsletter you have their details. And hopefully for a long time. Then this is where you leverage! They have opted in, see you have a good offer and they purchase. But then you go in for the kill and offer other bonues or newer products for discounted price. So on and so forth.

Always remember you should be trying to direct them to your main site too. Ebay is great, but eventually you’ll want to set up your own business website.

Jason got great success doing this, and working a few hours a day because the majority of people, myself included, love freebies, and became subscribers and went on to become repeat buyers. But Jason was selling some killer products. Thats where you have to be different. You have to offer the newest and most high quality products or you are just waisting your time.

Secret Tip: just maske sure that your sale price of each auction is enough to cover you ebay fees, or you might get in trouble. You really don’t have to offer auctions for $0.01c each, Jason just did this and maximised results. I will be honest and say, you are going to lose money on every sale, but you are not worried about that because hopefully the prospect will be a repeat buyers futher down the track.

If you have top-quality resources and newsletters, then you have a less likely chance of people unsubscribing requests, then you are likely to make any minimal losses and make more money as your list keeps building!

This tactic, or selling on ebay has been around a while, but it was only bought to my close attention last night!

Jason and a few of my close marketing friends of mine came over last night. We sat down over a cup of coffee and Jason was telling me that he has a side business where he is selling on ebay or selling profitable items on ebay and was pulling in some good dough. Now when he told me he was selling on ebay, I thought he was making a few hundred dollars a week as a sideline hobby. But when he blurted out he was making $7k per month selling on ebay and only working about 3 hours a week, I nearly spat my coffee back at him. LOL. I know there are lots of people making alright money selling on ebay but this is amazing.

$7k a month! thats like $84, 000 per year without hardly lifting a finger. He went on and told me some of his closest secrets for sucessful selling on ebay and increasing traffic to one of his main sites. Now I knew Jason was a smart dude, I love our brainstorming chats, so I told him to spill the beans!. He rattled off his main strategy by selling on ebay. Remember this is the same strategy that is currently making $7k per month and was giving him lots of traffic and lots of sales!

I thought his ideas were so good I took some quick notes and thought I would share them (see below)

Selling on ebay can yield big traffic results because :-

- Selling on ebay is quick and costs little
- You’re leveraging off ebay, which already get heaps of traffic

- There are lots of hungry buyers looking to purchase things others are selling on ebay

- Ebay sells a wide variety of stuff

- Your product will fit into one of the categories on ebay

- You can build up a good database of repeat buyers

- You can network and make friends on ebay and get them to tell their customers about you auctions

- After someone buys tell them of a similar auction or your website (cross sell) and make another sale

- Offer regular customers discounts, coupons 2 for 1 deals so they keep returning again and again. (more traffic)

- You get more bids using popular words for the category your selling on ebay .

- You can use the about me page to build credibility and send clients to your website or email

I hope when you read this you will make notes and go and use it. You would be silly not to.

Escape From Alcatraz!

Remember this famous story Back in 1962??

Very quick history lesson: The escape from alcatraz story occurred in 1962 when three prisoners made their way out of California’s Alcatraz island prison using spoons and a homemade raft! Not too bad for a group of so called “Dumb Criminals” right?

Now there are speculations that these lads actually made land, but I wanted to share a traffic generation tactic that closely relates to the escape from alcatraz story.

Ok, So just what does this “escape from alcatraz” story the have to do with your website and online business??

Well out of all the dumb criminals that filled this maximum security jail, they sat down and formulated a smart plot (right down to the most minute detail) to get themselves out of jail, across the harbor and to dry land.

If you are in pure desperation like these lads were, you need to sit down, and formulate a plot, to ensure you get more business, and get more website traffic. Both are extremely important, if you want to succeed online.

Get a pen and a piece of paper, and write out how much traffic you would like to see each day, week, month to your website, and then work out the smaller details on how you are going to achieve that. Also which techniques you are going to concentrate on to achieve your goals. This is how the three men escaped from alcatraz and succeeded. The had a good plan first, then TOOK ACTION!

You might be feeling enprisoned and struggling at the moment, but I guarantee that if you formulate a solid plan starting today, and start working to achieve your goals in smaller steps, a week or two from now your website will be getting many more visits and will start blossoming. Sales will increase also.

It’s all about formulating your secret plan first. The escape from alcatraz is quite a famous story, but what is even more famous is how these three men escaped from alcatraz by secretly formulating a plot. That is the key here. The better your plan, the more business and traffic you are going to get. i.e. work out which three main traffic generation methods you are going to use to get more traffic to your site, and then get to work.

Be like these three men, (no, I don’t mean go and rob a bank!) set up a plan, and then take action! Having a great plan is one thing, but if you don’t take action, then you are likely to fail.

You too can escape from alcatraz, and flood your lifeless website with high targeted traffic. Start formulating your plan and then act upon that and I promise you will start seeing results almost instantly.

Oops I Did It Again! The Dirt On Link Building

Ok that first bit sounded like britney spears when she was in her “hey day!” ….well those days have long gone right!?She has been exposed……BUT enough about britney!

What I am going to do for you today is expose the so called miracle link builders out there.
You know the ad ….the Typical one would be : “Get 200 one-way links for $39.95.”

YEAH RIGHT!

Now, I am a big believer in outsourcing and hiring people to outsource your work. It’s a a killer tactic, but as long as they share your vision in exactly what you want. The so called “dirty” area is where companies offer to build links for you, and package or bundle it up in ”pay per link” jobs. They spit out worthless posts that sit out in cyberspace and cry “SPAM HERE DONT CLICK!”. Not good right?

The secret underlying fact here is that link building companies owns a series of “collaborating” sites, a whole network of them, somtimes termed ”link farms”, which are not noticed by Google or have no significant importance where they stand. They con people to add links to this big farm of worthlessness.

what happens? All you have is a big bunch of worthless links sitting somewhere and your site can’t possibly get more exposure and better rankings. In fact sometimes this can hurt you and you’re worse off than before you started … Plus your bank account is a little bit worse for wear too right?

This is a serious problem, because most marketers believe they just need links all over the place when they first start to succeed. That is not true. But really what is crutial to winning at this game is, very high quality links, placed in just the right spot on and in pages, and targeting the right anchor text on other pages as well.

But think about it, if someone at Google want to buy a dog and they type in “dogs for sale” are they really looking to buy? or just window shopping online? It highly likely. What breed of dog are they after? What size? What colour? What Price range? Where do they live? See the problem? There are too many variables! This is where smart marketing is key. Don’t focus on keywords where buyers are just mearly window shopping. You want the keywords where people are almost commited to buying before they hit that damn search button!.
Lets say in the search engine rankings you are at #1 for a particular keyword or phrase, but you receive no traffic, you fail.

This traffic is just worthless. Lets say you receive 8,000+ unique visitors per day and no one decides to buy, the traffic is worthless. Dead ballast really.
Remember traffic is important but Conversion means everything to you too.

So, where do you go from here?

You need to test first. Use PPC and perform smaller tests. See which keywords convert well. This technique is used only by some, and of those using it only a handful fully understand it. But here is the kicker!. Don’t spend all your time studing and working out which keywords get the most searches, sit down and have a look which keywords bring the most buyers! Thats the power of all this!

Good Content = Great Traffic.

I come across a lot of people, who complain that they have this great looking website but they never get any traffic? Does that sound familiar at all?

Then once you visit their website, there is nothing there. No sharp attention grabbing graphics, no text and no communication between the website and the visitor. I have even seen one page, bright red with two lines of text, and an email address, AGGHHHH! I think I burnt my retina’s out with that one. PHEW!

The best chance of getting loads of traffic is to give them (i.e. Your visitors) something when they get there. Make it worth while visiting.

To do this you MUST have high quality, unique content if you want long-term, free search engine traffic and also return visitors. This is the most important tip of all. But I see a majority of potential websites fail at this. What they don’t realize, is that this is what will set you apart from all your competitors online.

Your main goal is to Provide LOTS of information-rich, content because:-

1) Search engines love it!

2) People who crave for your information will keep visiting!

The rate at which websites are growing is astounding, and search engines are now just being clogged with junk at an alarming rate.

Google craves for good content continuously. If you can feed good content continuously, then expect to get higher ranking in the search engines, and if you content is good enough, you will also get other people linking back to your site.

Your job is to spend as much time posting content on your site that people will talk about. That way, your website will automatically end up with lots of free, one way links. People will even start recommending others to your site without you telling them to do so.

This has worked very well in the past, but it continues to be one of the best ways to grow your traffic exponentially. Help people out, give good quality content that solves peoples problems, network with others and you will soon see a massive increase in traffic and ranking in the popular search engines.

7 Simple Ways to Drive Traffic To Your Blog

Yesterday I told you that having a blog is one of the smartest things you can do to drive FREE traffic to your site.

I must reiterate the fact that if you do this and post often, you will get some healthy traffic coming to your site.

To help your blog along even more, here are 7 tips in no particular order of importance, that will triple the traffic coming to your blog after you have set it up.

1) You can set up what is known as a bloglet subscription form at the top of your page, so that everyone in your immediate network can subscribe. i.e. Friends, colleagues, workmates. You can ask them to pass on your blog to their friends who might be interested.

2) Yahoo is very popular search engine, however you can set up a blog feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine. Every time you post, yahoo will crawl and rank that particular post. Sometimes your posts will get ranked high and receive lots of traffic.

3) There is more than likely tons of other blogs in your particular niche. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Please don’t spam these blogs by leaving verbatim comments like “Great post” or “Thanks”. Leave helpful, intelligent information that will benefit the readers and after you comment leave a link to your blog address.

4) After every blog post make sure you ping that post. Use Ping-0-matic to ping all blog directories. Make sure you do this without fail, after each of your posts.

This is a little bit more elbow work, but it will be well worth it!. Remember more traffic means more sales to you in the end.

Here are three reasons why blogging will get you more website traffic.

1) Did you know that you can increase your website traffic by using and posting to your own blog. YES! more website traffic is important if you want more sales. Blogging is one killer way to get more website traffic to your site. But here is the crucial key element that not many people realize. The more you blog, the more website traffic you’re going to get. So it is extremely important to stay focused and blog at least once every few days. If not, at least once a week.

2) Google loves blogs! And the more Google realizes that you are updating your blog the more website traffic you will get. One of my diary based websites last year, received more website traffic and was indexed in Google in about 36 hours purely because I was posting to it on a regular basis. In fact, for a week or two I was posting two times a day. Now while I don’t encourage your do this. If you have made a post that it likes, then it will index it straight away. The more pages you can get indexed in Google the more website traffic you can get each and every day.

3) The more visits you get, the more website traffic will continue to pour in. Stay with me on this one…… Once your blog is up and running and full steam ahead and you are getting more website traffic. Google will keep taking notice and give your website preference over some of the other websites that are not getting as much website traffic as you. If Google thinks that your blog is getting more website traffic than someone else then its performs a few calculations and can put you higher up in the search engine rankings. Remember : in the Google index, the higher your ranking for a search term, the more website traffic you will receive.

Tips to becoming a traffic master quickly!

Did you know that the most important part of the internet is traffic. Without it, everyone fails…..
If you have a shoe shop down the street and you get no traffic i.e. customers you fail. In fact you might as well shut up shop right there and then!

Yes! But first I want to let you know it’s not even that hard to become a traffic master in the first place!

WHY IS THAT!……..

Because all I did was copy the strategies and secrets of another high profile traffic master.
